John and I spent the past 10 days exploring the west coast and we had the best time! Of course, I managed to fit in a few thrifting trips to help a friend decorate her new apartment in San Diego. Her place is just a few blocks from the ocean at Pacific Beach, so she hasn't spent a whole lot of time indoors as you can imagine. Her budget was small, but we were able to find a few amazing pieces to make her house a home. We spent a total of $50 and got all of this:
Pacific Beach was amazing! John did a little surfing, and we watched the sunset at Sunset Cliffs, which was by far the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen.
We rented a car to drive up the coast to visit some dear friends in Monterey, California. The entire California coastline is insanely beautiful, but Monterey was perhaps the most interesting... and the coldest, which is why we are all bundled up in August.
San Francisco was the last stop on our trip. We managed to squeeze a lot into a few days in this city, but we could have stayed for weeks there was so much to see. Fisherman's Warf, Lombard Street, and the Golden Gate Bridge (all major tourist attractions) were where we spent most of our time.
But our favorite city in California was Santa Barbara. A quaint downtown with views of the mountains, all two blocks from the beach. What more could you ask for? Here's to hoping we make millions one day and can call this beautiful place our home.
